Location - excellent right by On rising met with deserted pub and excellent cafe. A good choice of good food for meals.

The hotel was boutique, spent my time lovely here. The location was stunning, within walking distance of a historic house. Moreover, it's right by the center of a pretty village, Charleston and Lewes and the pub.

The hotel is situated in the very central location to the very lovely looking cafe. The place to have dinner a 10-15 minute walk from the venue is Pasghetti's. The breakfast is very very good with bakery goods, toast and also an apparently very standard continental, lots to choose from.

Overpriced and not good for walkers wanting an early night.

The beds were ok and the rooms were clean. Good location.

The noise from the rooms is extremely loud. We could hear every conversation from the pub below in full, including the piano! For walkers wanting an early start and an early night this is not a great place to stay. It would also be nice if the heating could be turned on a little earlier in the evening. The rooms were fairly chilly until late evening when the hearings finally came on.

The accommodation is centrally located, just a short walk to the village center. The garden is perfect for relaxing on hot sunny days, and it’s close to the South Downs Way. The English bar on the premises adds to the charm. the hotel is fabulous and offers a quiet retreat that comes highly recommended.

The hotel was fabulous and little, liked square view from our superior room. The room we had included central heating, multi-channel TV, and ironing facilities. Our location was beautiful on a slope;))
